Hi, I'm Aayush.
I'm a software engineer who has spent over two decades building security, data and storage systems. This is my corner of the internet.
A bit about me
I work on software design: how systems are structured, where the boundaries go, and how they’ll hold up as they change. I also write a lot of the code, lead teams, and spend time with the engineers I work with.
Computer Science engineer.
Laya Brings Order to the Notification Pile-Up
An open-source, local-first AI notification command center. Laya pulls notifications from Slack, Gmail, GitHub, Jira, Notion, Outlook and Calendar into one feed. It reads each incoming message, gathers context from the connected tools, and turns the notification into an action card with a suggested response ready for approval. All data stays on your computer.
Gloss Lets You Ask About the Line, Not the Whole Chat
A desktop chat app for the AI agents already on your computer: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Pi and Cursor Agent. Gloss shows their conversations like a proper chat client and adds one thing they lack. Highlight any text in a reply, ask about it, and the answer appears right under that sentence without derailing the conversation. No API keys, nothing leaves your machine.
The Rest of the Code Lives on GitHub
Source for Laya and Gloss, and the rest of my open source work.
